Building a robust civil institution taking on the world’s greatest
education challenges through a Muslim lens
Transforming education with Islamic values at the core
Ilmuna is an Islamic baccalaureate organisation rooted in the rich heritage of our knowledge — ilmuna — and grounded in the collective wisdom of the ummah. Inspired by the Islamic tradition, it seeks to integrate ethics into modern education.
We aim to develop a comprehensive educational framework that combines traditional Islamic knowledge with contemporary learning methodologies, preparing students to excel in both religious and worldly pursuits.
Founded in Madinah to develop a global educational framework rooted in our Islamic tradition.
Creating a brighter future through Islamic education
We envision a world where every Muslim child has access to quality education that nurtures their faith, intellect, and character – preparing them to be confident, contributing members of society.
Our vision is to establish Ilmuna as the global standard for Islamic education, recognized for its academic excellence, spiritual development, and positive impact on communities worldwide.
Through collaboration, innovation, and dedication, we’re building educational ecosystems that celebrate our Islamic heritage while embracing the future with hope and optimism.
At Ilmuna, we don’t just write lessons; we engineer them. Our goal is to create programs that are educational, aligned with our values, and ready for the real world. To do this, every single program goes through a strict 7-Step Journey.
Here is how we turn an idea into a resource for your school:
It starts with listening. Our Research & Development (R&D) team looks at data and runs focus groups to find out what schools are missing. If we find a gap, we propose a solution.
Before we start building, our top leadership—the Chief Education Officer and the Supreme Learning Council—reviews the proposal. They decide if it is a priority and how it should be built.
Once we get the green light, we hire the best people for the job. We commission subject-matter experts and specialized organizations to draft the core content.
We make sure everything we teach honors our faith. Our Islamic Advisory Council reviews the material to ensure it aligns perfectly with Islamic principles. If it doesn't meet the standard, they send it back for revision.
It’s not enough to be correct; it has to be teachable. An Experts Council reviews the lessons to make sure they use the best teaching methods and actually help students learn.
We don't guess—we test. We run Pilot Programs in partner schools to see how the material works in a real classroom. We listen to feedback from teachers and students to make it better.
Only after passing all these steps is a program ready. We publish the final materials and distribute them as standardized resources for schools around the world.

Building a Blueprint for Great Schools
Imagine trying to build a complex building without a blueprint. It would be confusing and unstable. Schools work the same way. They need a solid plan to ensure every student learns and every teacher feels supported.
We are developing a unique, global “blueprint”—or framework—for education. This framework gives schools a clear structure for everything they do, from how they teach math to how the principal leads the staff.
Why is this framework special?
Our framework is made up of five key parts that work together:
Creating this system takes time and care. Here is our process:
Our visionary leaders guiding Ilmuna's strategic direction
Executive team driving day-to-day operations and growth
Distinguished scholars and educators shaping our curriculum
